What are you trying to tell me?
I think a good rule of thumb is if somebody uses the expression "it's about as likely as me going to Mars" to indicate the chances of something happening that you then ask them whether they are an astronaut or not. Then, if the sneaky s.o.b. admits to being an astronaut you should ask if they are going on any missions to outer space soon, specifically to Mars. Or if you want to take a more subtle approach you can just ask what the name of their next mission is and then you can go to NASA's website and see if said mission is Mars-bound.
I had never written, read, said or heard "astronaut or not" before just a minute ago. Now that I've discovered its delightful silliness, I plan to pepper more conversations with it. So you can look forward to that.
My favorite comedian Mitch Hedberg is performing this weekend at Carolines. If you've never seen him before I highly suggest checking out his comic stylings. Hopefully he'll bring his A- game by which I mean his sober enough to enunciate game. Sad but true.
I am in second to last place in the NCAA pool that I organized. I guess I'm not a very good rigger. (Dangerous word but unfortunately I think I like it.) I look forward to the day when I can use astronaut or not and rigger seamlessly in the same sentence. That did't count.
