Domino effect
Now that both Wisconsin and my bracket are officially eliminated from contention in this year's NCAA tournament I can reclaim my life. Not that I'm happy about it. If you weren't here this weekend you missed a lovely celebration of Alison's 24th birthday. I got her a pony. It's not the most practical 24th birthday present-especially for somebody living in a Manhattan apartment. Nonetheless I'm pleased and I think she is too. The pony's name is Domino-after his favorite brand of sugar cube. Does anybody know a good hay distributor in the gramercy area? It's a good thing that there is an elevator in her building because as we all know getting a pony up a flight of stairs is one thing but there's no getting them down. One minor issue is that Domino isn't as of yet so much "domesticated." He goes through several horse diapers a day and those suckers aren't cheap! Alison and I can't wait to find an outdoor fair where there are kids riding a carousel. We're going to take Dom there and walk around the perimeter of the carousel counter-clockwise- that way we'll make all the kids simultaneously jealous and dizzy (quite the devilish combination.) Hopefully the landlord won't get wise to Domino's habitation of apt. 7D (fake apt. used for Alison's protection) and he'll get to live out his full colt-hood in the big apple. He likes all the galleries and the club scene. He is also fond of oats.
Time to go celebrate Michael's birthday by watching Cleveland Cavalier basketball-I completely forgot about the NBA- and eating dinner. Hooray!
Hope you're all making significant progress on your respective March checklists.
