Adam Cole-Kelly presents: Believe the Hyphen

I have a hyphenated last name that I've used as the basis for the name of my blog which in and of itself is a play on words. Clever's got a new home folks. Make yourselves comfortable.

If you build it they won't read

I would have loved to follow through on my word and continued to recount tales from down south, but I spent my entire day yesterday building a dresser. I still have two drawers left but I can't even explain how satisfying it's going to be to put the finishing touches on. This thing came with well over a hundred parts (if you count all the screws, nails, etc.) I'll probably take a proud picture with me standing next to the completed dresser, which will make for an awful photo but one I'll cherish nonetheless. It's only slightly humbling to think that for somebody who builds stuff on a regular basis my dresser assembly would be the comedy equivalent to getting on stage and telling a knock knock joke.

Speaking of getting on stage and telling knock knock jokes, I'm going to get a chance to sprinkle my Northern routine with some newly acquired Southern seasoning tonight at one of the friendlier, most funnestestest shows in town, The $1 Room.
