So well that I almost hope I never get hired!
Lots of people ask "How's the job search going?" I think it's safe to say that no job search is ever going well until it's over. It's not as if anybody ever says "it's going really well, I've got several pending email responses, a couple of phone calls that may be returned any day now, ooh and I almost forgot about this possible connection that could lead to an informational meeting or maybe even an interview!"
I am performing live comedy of the stand up variety on Monday evening. I will post the details on this very blog tomorrow. But I'll let you know that the show will be free of admission, which does not speak to the caliber of show whatsoever. In fact, if the admission fee were to be calculated based on the quality of performers at this show I'd venture to say anything less than $700 would be a steal, $701-722 would be an appropriate cost and anything over $723 would be highway robbery. It's odd how the scale slides like that, but trust me I used a graphing calculator so you know those figures are legit.
I'm off to the Yankees Indians game. I'm a big fan of the Indians. Cleveland Indians that is. Heck, all Indians. I'm going to wear my Indians cap and my thick skin to the house that Ruth built. If you don't know much about sports the nickname "The House that Ruth built" for Yankee Stadium must be awfully confusing. Who's Ruth? Some pioneering female architect or something?
Here's hoping that I win the tug-of-war for the foul ball with the little kid seated next to me. I'll consider giving it to him/her afterwards but it'll pretty humbling to lose that battle of strength.
