Adam Cole-Kelly presents: Believe the Hyphen

I have a hyphenated last name that I've used as the basis for the name of my blog which in and of itself is a play on words. Clever's got a new home folks. Make yourselves comfortable.

I was regretting being up right now until the light of my computer attracted a mosquito that I squashed in my hands

Before I depart for Chicago to attend the wedding of my special lady friend's cousin Phoebe and her soon to be husband Michael, I thought I should throw out these two rubies of insight.

1. I don't mean to get all Davinci Code on you guys, but an anagram of the place I live-STUYVESANT TOWN, is TT, U OWN ANY VESTS? Not many people call me TT, but I'll be damned if I don't own several vests. Spooky, right?

2. As far as I can recall I've never made a single musical suggestion in this space but that's about to change. My tastes normally lean heavily towards hip hop, but this song is as irresistible as a black and white milkshake on a diner menu. Research has shown that the only people who dislike this song are felons. The name of the song is Fidelity by Regina Spektor. Like most music snobs I discovered this song when I saw the video for it on VH1. Give it a listen, it's delightful.

If we (me and you- the reader, not me and Regina Spektor- unless she is reading this in which case, you're welcome for the plug) had miniature children together who often took a lot out of us but were supposed to be out of our hands this Friday, Saturday and Sunday while we did something fun I would say:

I hope We Can have a weekend that's not weakend by our wee kin.

Pun unintended.

Later.
