Happy New(ish) Year

Happy 2007. I know I'm late but I wanted to make sure that you know I care about your new year.

Here are some thoughts regarding some current television commercials.

I don’t know if you saw this but Tylenol recently came out with these “Go Tabs” which is basically Tylenol in a new shape and package to make it easier for you when you’re on the go. Thank goodness, right? Cause we all know carrying regular old Tylenol is like lugging around a pile of anchors all day. It’s about time somebody made some portable headache medicine. What a relief.

The Army has a new slogan: There's strong and then there's army strong. Talk about a disincentive for working out. (As if I needed one) Sorry push ups, I'd love to do you, but you might make me army strong.

The office depot commercial with the hand in the box initially creeped me out, then it just annoyed me, but now I find myself happily humming the tune out loud. Heckuva refrain, office depot jingle singers. You got me.

I just realized I stooped to sharing multiple emotional responses to an office depot commercial. How did I arrive at such a dark place? Forgive me. I promise in the future I'll bottle up my feelings about office supply retailers and their commercials. (At least until I feel like I'm going to erupt.)

Dude, will you get on with it and start writing copy for an Ad agency. I know that might be "selling out" but you've got a mind for it. Anyways, if you feel inclined to listen to any Knicks ranting and raving, me and the fellas have started a new blog. www.fortuitousbounce.blogspot.com Ya heard?
